Background...........In 1962, Austrian skier Toni Sponar arrived in Chile and fell in love with the Andes. After years exploring remote valleys, hediscovered the land that would become Ski Arpa — a place unlike any other in the country. Through many years of trial and error the break through came with the snowcat — transforming Ski Arpa into a guided backcountry experience built around raw, untouched terrain. Today, Ski Arpa remains a family-led operation beneathAc oncagua, guided by the same pioneering spirit.

What level of skiing is required for Catskiing?
Strong intermediate to advanced skiers comfortable onungroomed terrain. All descents are guided, and groups can be split according to ability.
